FAQ´s

Q: The chords in your video lessons sometimes don´t match the original Why?
A: Our arrangemensts are designed to simplify songs to help  beginers play them.  For example We remove all barre chords and suggest other variations

Q: Why do you not use barre chords on your lessons
A: See answer above

Q: If you are using different chords from the original songs, why do they still sound so good
A: All chords used are just variations, still from the right scale and in the right key

Q: I want to be able to use your video lessons away from my computer
Q: I don´t want to have to be on my computer to be able to use your video lessons
A: Due to the level of requests received from subscribers, our video lessons will be available on DVD in the very near future (We are working on this now)

Q: Sometimes when you play, you do things which are not in your lessons Why?
A: I improvise a lot.  Check out our lessons on improvising and adding interest - these are on youtube, but will soon be posted on this website. Our lessons provide a frame but in some songs we encourage you to improvise to add interest and develop your playing further.

Q: Sometimes you play a chord, but a different variation would sound better
A: This is personal choice, we are all different in what we think works best.  Check the funnies page, there is a joke about guitarists and lighbulbs which sums this up very well

Q: How long does it take to produce one of your video lessons
A: Dependent on the song, between 2 and 5 hours.  The song has to be transcribed, learned, simplified options considered, preparation, notation of strumming patterns, record, edit and finally treble check for errors - phew I think that is it.

Q: I have tried loads of video lessons, but your are the easiest to follow
Q: I learn more for your lessosn than any other on the internet
A: We have listened very carefully to feedback, designed and developed a format which our subscribers want

Q: How do you choose what songs to produce lessons for
A: The song has to be good in a strumming arrangement, has to have wide appeal (we have subscribers of all ages, both sexes and different music tastes).  Most importantly, the songs have to be able to be arranged so that beginners can play them (with some practice).

Q: How many requests do you consider
A: We consider every request we receive.  We are now getting to the point where almost evey lesson we produce is for a song requested by our subscribers.
